Is half the dial black? Or is that just in the pictures to show the range of colours the dial produces?

It's blue fading to black, just like the light fading at depth - another watch designed by a committee of 12 year olds.

Yeah - I've been watching that thread - it was over 20 pages last I checked. Phillip Stahl is convinced it's a new blue dialed DSSD with some sort of special blue phosphorescent ceramic case. I'm never sure how much he knows and how much he's just speculating.

I would hope he didn't graduate from The Obvious School of Design, but it's possible. Rolex should have licensed the stupid Seiko full/empty power reserve and the iwc altimeter triple date. They could have made the most cynically trite watch of all time.
