This Just in, BEWARE Rolex content

Post by 425ranger » Fri May 28, 2010 10:21 am

From a long history of boutique and fashion watches (Breitlings etc) I got an Explorer II today from watchbureau. Nice guy and real collector. Smart and P90X strong! (heh)

Any who..... so I took a dive into a used E2 Black.

Image

It seemed to me as under sold and misunderstood. It is a sleeker GMT is about all, not incl the bling GMT's.

Image

Over all it seems very comfy, small (Super Avenger / EcoZilla owner here) but classy. I still wouldn't wear it for serious sports (g-shock r made for this) but all other activities are open. David and Matt "big wrists" Wu lured me to the dark side. I was considering a SD. But at the price I paid I couldn't pass it up.

OK OK blah blah, I like it.

I had the black dialed Explorer a while back and it`s one of the most comfortable watches I`ve had. Congrats, man!
Personally I think the Explorer2 looks better without the cyclops....just saying

Ah ha! So that's what's been up! Outstanding snag, Bill, congrats! That ExpII looks perfect - can't believe it's used.

Man, this forum is eat up with Rolex. The bug has even had me pondering the unthinkable....selling my Doxa and PO to fund an SD. :o Don't worry, I haven't lost my mind yet...well, not completely anyway. :banplz:

NICE work, Bill. I think I can forgive you for not saving for the SD since you called me "big wrists".

No kidding! I'd never have the balls to do something like that - well, not to a $3k+ piece. Heck, at least we got some acetone around the house.

Super snag Bill. Congrats and enjoy the hell out of it. IF you decide to flip it, you will not have to look any farther than DWC I'm sure.

The EXPII is a real sleeper in the Rolex lineup. I'm glad you were able to get the scratch together to make it happen! :headbang:

Beautiful pick-up Bill! Very crisp & clean

Congratulations mate

I must be in the minority because I really like the cyclops. I've been obsessed with a pepsi GMT II for years now & you blokes aren't helping with all the Rolexes in the house

Enjoy mate!
