OK... can someone talk me out of purchasing a Pfaff Perform?
After much deliberation, I am leaning towards purchaing a pre-owned Pfaff Performance 2058. I have always admired this machine and have read many, many reviews. As a Singer kinda guy, I was very against the PP in my earlier SIS infancy and thought it was silly to compare the Pfaff to a Singer. BUT... after researching things more thoroughly, and getting rid of my pompous assumptions, I now realize that the Pfaff is really an iconic piece and could be the best diver out there at it's price.
I must admit... I am NOT a seamstress (other than quilting and stitching) and would use this much more as my daily machine for business and to bump around the weekends with. I have already owned the Brother XL-2600i and Singer 7256 Fashion Mate and neither fit the "wear with a suit or to the summer party" mold. I hope the Pfaff does just that.
Opinions, input etc. are very much apprciated.

No WAY-GET IT. It does all that plus you can play minesweeper, hearts, and frecell while finishing off a pair of Daisy Duke jean short borders.
You won't regret it Kin.

I absolutely agree! Who cares what the Singer elite says about this one? It delivers!moishlashen wrote:No WAY-GET IT. It does all that plus you can play minesweeper, hearts, and frecell while finishing off a pair of Daisy Duke jean short borders.

I have one, and honestly I don't really use it that much. I have a PDF copy of the manual on my laptop, but still I get frustrated with constantly having to look up how to use all the various features and functions.
Mostly, I just use it to calibrate the stitching patterns of my other machines. It does a pretty good job at predicting rain, however.
