Help .... broken presser bar
I recently broke the presser bar on my 1953 Singer. Does anybody have a contact for a reliable repair center? I've heard the one in Toledo just blows. The turnaround time is horrific. Could a good reputable independant do the same repair? Would I be guaranteed original Singer parts? Thanks in advance.

Try Jack at ISW-International Sewing Machine Works. He's good. Wait time will be long and he isn't cheap but he can make your old rig sing like a canary when he's finished.

YEa, I have a buddy in my sewing circle that sent one to Jack to be overhauled. Not only did he do a complete service, but he re-painted all of the lettering. It looks like new.
