Knit One, Purl Two...where are you on this controversy?

Post by hazmatman » Tue Mar 09, 2010 9:36 am

Fact or Fiction?

Knit one, purl two was started by eugenic scientists in 1930's Germany as a way of identifying individuals with reduced dexterity so they could be shipped to France and undermine their ability to defend against the inevitable Germany Blitzkeig.

Have an alternate theory of how this old knitting standard began???

Good day & happy knitting!!!

Well the National Endowment for Knitting (NEK) stated that a search of the National Archives discovered no documentation to support that the foundation of K1P2 (Knit One Purl Two) is rooted in National Socialism :bs: ; however, US magazine recently ran a story picturing Paris Hilton wearing a late 1930's BundesStrickenPolizei (German Knitting Police) tunic. On that tunic can be clearly seen the letters "K1P2" on the sleeve.

Lindsay Lohan was also captured on film wearing a similar frock with identical markings!!!!!

How can our government deny the connection??? Who is behind this cover-up??? The Yarn lobbyists!?!?!

I rest my case!!!

I have my own ideas about what I believe is a deep conspiracy being perpetrated by the Velcro Foundation. I won't go into it at this moment, but suffice it to say ... the truth is out there.

I've got the Yarn Lobbyists swingin. Like David said its the velcro people behind it-specifically the Hook side as the Loop side are a bunch of lightweight 200 thread count wannabees. IMO of course.
