Citizen Satellite Wave F100

A couple people expressed interest in this one today, so here's repost of my new watch mini-review from Watchlords.

I bought this watch first for the technology, followed by extremely beveled case angels, thinness (13mm), and airy hollow pushers. In short it's a cool watch that is probably larger than it should be at 46mm - but super light. Syncs with GPS in 3-4 secs as advertised (once signal OK is acquired). The watch can easily be dressed up or down and will likely replace my traveling G-Shock for auto time sync capability.

The user is required to select the desired time zone and daylight savings on/off. All else is set automatically. A handy (but limited) light/charge meter measures the charge worthiness of available light between 0(12:00) and 6, but is not realtime. You get a single measurement per push, move your wrist to different illumination and the previous reading remains until you let it reset and push again. Power reserve status is also displayed in the process.

Titanium is more gunmetal than silver in color and prone to skin oil discoloration (that wipes off) and scratches "Duratec Band Material" be damned. Desk diver scratches below (inflicted within a matter of minutes), are mine not the seller's. Lume is scarcely visible applied only to the very tip of each hand and too similar in size and shape to tell the difference between them.

Regardless of shortcomings I like it and will keep it. Purchased preloved from someone that just wanted to check out the tech - they got it from Japan.

Crown: Rather smooth/slippery but more than adequate for what little turning you need to do. Which is setting the time zone. Also more of an electronic crown with almost no tension, where you feel small clicks as it turns. Like the Citizen Skyhawk.

Letters: Cities appear to be on the chapter ring due to very close proximity but they are printed on the crystal like NO/RX/OK.

I really like the case design on this. I agree that it might be better at 42mm.

very impressive...i wasn't sure if it was an eco-drive at first because it's usually says so on the dial.

the angular edges on the case and the unique pushers really show off the watch well, the duratec Ti and the time keeping are all well-known pluses. a really nice pick-up! congrats.
