GMT-MasterIIC
OK, I haven't said much about this, so a quick review. Love it. I like to wear my bracelets/straps a bit loose, and the tapered bracelet is very comfortable for that. When it sits at the the butt of my palm, say while walking, it is really very comfortable (repeating myself).
The watch has enough of a sporting look that it works with a polo and jeans, even a t-shirt. And as dressed up as I get (sport coat and jeans) it works, too. My AD bought one about two weeks before I got mine, and he enjoys wearing a suit to his store, and the watch looks great with that wardrobe selection.
The ceramic bezel looks "deep." Only word I can think of to describe it.
Over the past year or so, I've been looking at the platinum YM, the 50th, the Explorer II (my wife said "no" hence my Ball EH GMT II), SS Daytona, and a Sea-Dweller DEEPSEA. This one pretty much rocked me more than the others.
One of the functions I'm looking forward to using in August (our next planned trip) is the quick set for the hour hand. Unscrew the crown, pull out to the position, and set only the local time hour hand. While your doing this, the watch continues running. It's really pretty cool.
I've had it a few weeks now, and haven't readjusted the minute hand yet. I'm not super anal about dead on time, but when a watch goes out +/- more than a minute, I'll readjust.
Anyway, thanks for looking. I think this is the first "mini-review" I've done.

Good stuff, Tim. GMTIIc is a definite looker, and has a number of great improvements over the old sport-model lineup. I was really strongly considering one for awhile, and still have it on my list. The platinum numerals in the ceramic bezel are really, really nice.
I guess you don't make use of the easy-link feature though, eh? Wearing it loose enough so that it almost rests in your palm? I can't imagine the scratches you have on some of your watches!

Oh, I made use of that. Can't stand anything really tight on my wrists... don't even like sweat bands playing tennis.matt.wu wrote:Good stuff, Tim. It's not so loose that any of them turn over, but just loose enough to move some, and stop at the end of my wrist. Nothing is scratched badly, not even the scratch magnet polished SS Breitling bracelet.

Great review. The polished center links frighten me a little, but otherwise I love the look of that watch. The green GMT hand on black/ceramic background is yummy.

Re: GMT-MasterIIC
+1 Rolex also has true GMT functionality with the ability to set the local hour, as you said, and still have the watch running. A very nice plus for Rolex.vbuskirk wrote:Great review. Re: GMT-MasterIIC
Yeah what he said. The whole reason for having a GMT is to click a button a couple of times after stepping of the plane and be re-oriented.
* Believe it or not Steven some guys actually have "12 Hour" GMT hands.

Yeah, that makes zero sense on a watch.vbuskirk wrote: * Believe it or not Steven some guys actually have "12 Hour" GMT hands.
