JLC NSA - review
Re: JLC NSA - review
The bracelet is perfect. I don't understand why people dislike it. It's like that whole cheapfuckese language.
Re: JLC NSA - review
After a few weeks of wear, I've noticed the movement has a signature, similar to 7750 wobble...which I enjoy. When there is no tension in the alarm barrel, the bell will sometimes make a dull chime, when the watch takes just the right shock, at just the right angle.
Over all, I'm digging it.

That's a very cool watch Darin, congrats.
Do you wear your 5.11 pants while wearing this one? Cammo PJ's?

Hot watch! Couldn't agree more on the articulated bracelet as I have tried one on and it felt chinsy to me too. Is prefer a strap
Re: JLC NSA - review
I'm not nearly as tacticool as some of the guys here. But the NSA is phenomenal. The more I wear it, the more I love it. Gotta love that autotractor cal. 956. Ceramic ball bearings FTW.

After three years I have yet to tire of this watch, articulated rubber bracelet and all; it never fails to put a smile on my face.
Wear that sucker like you stole it, Darin.

Adam

So the Incursion difference is PVD case And writing on the inside of the dial? Anything else?

Are we basically talking about something like this, obviously with a different clasp?mattcantwin wrote:Disappointing to hear so many people say this.ericf4 wrote:Couldn't agree more on the articulated bracelet as I have tried one on and it felt chinsy to me too.

Things you can see:Panerai7 wrote:Looks good Adam.

- Grey DLC case
- Etched crystal
- Yellow highlights
- Grey alarm disc
Things you can't see:
- Stronger bezel/insert
- Stronger lume

Who are you gonna trust?
It's one of the best bracelets in the business, and is rightly regarded as so by the experts. Worth every penny and then some.

Not remotely. That one is entirely plastic; the articulated rubber bracelet is comprised of a stainless steel skeleton coated in vulcanized rubber.Panerai7 wrote:Are we basically talking about something like this, obviously with a different clasp?mattcantwin wrote:Disappointing to hear so many people say this.ericf4 wrote:Couldn't agree more on the articulated bracelet as I have tried one on and it felt chinsy to me too.

Ok good to know, if I were a bracelet person I guess I'd try it.
Re: JLC NSA - review
The bracelet looks good on the Incursion because it actually matches the case finish. It looks awful on a watch with a standard finish.

Not any different than having a nylon strap...CGSshorty wrote:The bracelet looks good on the Incursion because it actually matches the case finish. It looks awful on a watch with a standard finish.

Re: JLC NSA - review
Needless to say, I disagree. Not only do I enjoy the contrast that it provides on the standard case, but it does match the rubber crowns and compliments the black dial:CGSshorty wrote:The bracelet looks good on the Incursion because it actually matches the case finish. Of course, issues of aesthetics are objective at best, so I certainly don't fault folks for not finding it to their taste (that's why OEM options, such as a full titanium bracelet, rubber strap, leather/cordura strap and nylon NATO-type and velcro straps are offered); objectively, however, it's anything but "cheap" in quality or construction.
