RXW MARINA MILITARE

This is an original watch brand that Ginza KEN TRADING Co., Ltd., the store known for its strrength in the field of sports watches like Rolex, is spreading around the world. Takeshi Sato, owner and golden age sports model enthusiast, brings the famous watches of old back to life with the newest in modern tecnology. The release of Marina Militare marks the then 20th anniversary of the founding of 'Ginza KEN TRADING Co., Ltd. Manufacturing was not able to match demand from within Japan and without when this series launched its simultaneous European-American debut in 2002.

The dual dial, called PLASMIR had an open index that dictated the taste of the day as well as N luminosity which emitted light like a plasma tube and allowed the wearer to view the time even in the dark.
This model has a super antimagnetic construction the same as the 1940 orginal that allows it to rebound 1000 Gauss of magnetic forcce. Great accessories also boast good things - French horse leather band, Bergeon screwdriver, and a great wooden box.

Movement - Swiss UNITAS 6497 hand-winding
Case - SUS316L (Soft-iron inner case with 1,000 gauss antimagnetic performance)
Crown - Lever-type crown with crown guard
Crystal - Non-reflecting coat dome-shaped sapphire crystal
Prasmir dial - (dual-layer special luminous dial / N-luminous used)
Size - 45.5mm X 45.5mm (47mm length X 47mm width / width / crown guard not included
Waterproof - 100m
Acceessories - Fame Ford box, England cloth, Swiss Berrgeon screwdriver, spring bar detachment tool, black leather replacement strap for marine sports.

R.X.W MARINA MILITARE - The watch with real performance and as far as I am concerned the World's only model that correctly revived the Italian military specifications with the Super antimagnetic dual inner structure same as the real model in the 40s.

My cost was around $1500.00 from the original owner and certainly beats paying $20,000 for the PAM model.

They were sued in Japan by Pam and lost. They are gone. High quality homage/fake.

Dave I see you buy a shit load of watches.Have you ever thought quantity is not the way to go.My be quality mite be better like a real PAM that you would be more prouder to wear you mite buy less watches but you would have a better collection just a thought. From the amount of watches you say you have in your collection I know you can afford to go after a real PAM.

Hmm...there definitely is a grey area when it comes to fakes and homages. Both are copies but homages are legal copies.

I generally don't mind homages but considering the availability of great original watches from micro brands, I'd rather buy something from them instead.

At that price range I'd look at Stowa. Or even used Anonimo.

I believe having Marina Militare on the dial removes the gray area and makes it a clear fake. This is patented by Panerai, another homage brand. :stir:

True.

For me though it's still a grey area. Even if they put something else on the dial, this is still clearly a copy. Case, dial, hands, even the movement is the same as the original.

The law can go either way but a copy is a copy in my opinion. I'd rather get an original or something with enough to differentiate it from the original. Anonimo is a good example.

Look its a total ripoff of panerai. That said if I were to buy a knockoff, its by far the best you can get. And they actually sell on the secondary market quickly.

Why bother? We know Dave only creates threads and doesn't comment on them. Nothing wrong with it but you won't hear from him till Christmas in Guam aka July.

It's XMAS on Guam now! You are hearing from me. It's the time difference guys. Your views on timepieces are OK and I respect everyone's, but I buy what I want and share with those on the forum. I have many high value watches which are Brand names, however no fun going after the normal. As far as too many watches - well nobody can have too many! Collector and Diver.
