RGM 300

Post by tazman64 » Fri May 25, 2012 8:33 am

I picked up the RGM 300 a couple days ago and im very impressed with it so far. IMO this is the perfect diver, its built like a tank, very clean and simple looking, nothing fancy, just one bad ass diver. The watch is running at +- 2 seconds a day, this is my second RGM watch and that one ran+-3 seconds the entire time i owned it. RGM is a small company here in the U.S., they are great to deal with and also have a new trade-in program which they give fair prices, they also will make any watch you can dream up (for the right money)they also do restoration and regular service for all watches. I just found out that they are useing new packageing, which IMO is better than the wooden box that they used in the past. Here are some specs and than some pics.

CASE: brushed SS
SIZE: 43.5 X 17
MOVEMENT: RGM/2892
CRYSTAL: 5MM THICK SAPPHIRE
W.R.: 2500FT.
ANTIMAGNETIC
SUPER LUMINOVA
RUBBER STRAP WITH BUCKLE, S.S. BRACELET (OPTIONAL)

Always liked those but was daunted by the thickness. How large does it wear? Nice pickup.

cool! Thanks for the pics and the write up. I've passed up a couple of them over the last couple years, not sure why, really.. Looks big/heavy. Is that true, or is it really wearable? What about the rubber. Comfortable or stiff?

Thanks

Well its all depends on what you are use to wearing, this is my smallest watch at 43.5 mm, its thick but not to thick IMO. The rubber strap is realy stiff, and i dont like it much so i will be getting the bracelet for it along with a ISO. It wears well on the rubber weight wise. Thanks

IMO it wears great at 43.5mm, it all depends on what you are use to wearing. For me this is my smallest watch and the largest would be 45.5mm, the thickness does not bother me at all as i like thick dive watches. thanks

Steve ! Congratulations, and also thanks for the review of this RGM of your's !
Almost is as if the watch is right here in all of it's coolness. The list of specifications
is outstanding, and just looking at the watch you can tell that it is on another level.
Just seems to be both dynamic, and simple. Simple in that it is easy to read with the
dial, but dynamic with the case style, super thick bezel, and even case-back !!!
VERY cool watch, pictures, and review !

Thanks, and I hope you keep enjoying it !
