IWC COUESTEAU VINTAGE
I present the vintage Cousteau IWC diver. Purchased from WUS about a year ago and find that it is a keeper. Not cheap - it can go for anywhere from$3000.00 to $5,000.00 amd not in production today. So you will have to search for it on the used market. It has quite a presence on the wrist and wears bigger than it's 42mm size. Mine comes with the blue strap and quite comfortable. Although a diver that can go to 1000m, don't think I will put it in the water since it is one of the first Cousteau Divers and of historical significance. Really enjoy wearing it and is quite impressive with its blue dial and orange markers.
The SPECS are:
Case - Stainless Steal
Diameter - 42mm
Dial - Blue
Caseback - special gravurre
Bracelet - rubber strap
Movement - Mechanical movement, automatic winding, hour, minute, small seconds, date, water resistant up to 1000m.
Limited Edition - 1,953 pieces
I believe that the lugs are 20mm and the strap is one of the most comfortable that you will find. It is in mint conditon and cost to me was around $2000.00 - that was a good deal!

Re: IWC COUESTEAU VINGAGE
Go ahead and get it wet, I say. There are almost two thousand of these out there, and god forbid you really bork the case, there are a ton more to full back on (the 3548 was far from limited after all, and it shares the exact same case).
Seriously, it would be a shame not to wear this watch as it was meant to be worn, so wear it.
Regards,
Adam

Maybe the first watch I lusted after. Especially the one with the chip of wood for the Calypso embedded in the case back.
"We'd better synchronize our watches."
