12 hrs of Sebring - From the Pits

Post by Seth » Fri Mar 26, 2021 4:05 am

I had the opportunity to go to Sebring for the 12 hr race with Hardpoint /EBM as pit crew last weekend. They’re a Porsche team running 2 cars in carrera cup and 2 cars in GT-D. I was on the fuel crew for the Rob Ferriol/ Earl Bamber (2x Le man overall winner) GTD.

A few behind the scenes pics....

Sh%t, and all I did was mow the lawn, lol
This is looks beyond awesome

How often do you get to do this?
Is this a professional gig or a volunteer thing?
How does one get involved?

It’s a professional gig, but this was my first time over the wall. I have been supporting them manufacturing and maintaining their equipment for a while now. I also have been building a racecar chassis now for a number of years. Their shop is immediately across the alley from mine.
