riding the new Salsa Rangefinder tomorrow, looking for input

Post by four20 » Sat Jul 04, 2020 12:24 pm

so, i've been offered a smokin' good price on an in-stock Salsa Rangefinder Deore 27.5+. there was no time to ride today, as i was picking up my fat bike wheels right at closing today.

i've read up specs and geometry-wise on it over the last hour and it looks like right in my wheelhouse. this is a new model for Salsa in 2020 and there's really no hands on reviews on the web that i can find. wondering if any of you DWCers have had any kind of experience with them

That's a nice bike. Even the MSRP is reasonable.

the MSRP is very reasonable and the discount makes it a no-brainer. i didn't expect a dropper and Deore at this pricepoint. i'm waiting to get a new fork cut down for my beater 29er, but i'm thinking i might sell it and get this. i can get a cheap pair of 29er wheels and tires and use those out on the semi paved rail trails with my kids

Looks like a good bike especially with a boost, 1x, hydraulic brakes, and a dropper for $1k.

That looks like a pretty good deal especially with a discount.
