Anyone else get Disney+ ?
Anyone else get Disney+ ?
Signed up last night mainly for The Mandelorian, which was even better than anticipated. Also watched the 1st episode of the new NatGeo show with Jeff Goldblum (if you're a fan of his, you will not be disappointed).
Haven't yet had any of the reported issues except for one little hiccup trying to start a Pixar short (that's a rabbit hole if there ever was one) but it loaded after a 2nd attempt.

Re: Anyone else get Disney+ ?
Yep. Free with my Verizon account for a year. First ep of The Mandlaorian was incredible. I may never leave the house again with all of the content. well worth it to me for $0 a month.
Re: Anyone else get Disney+ ?
Just got it free with my Verizon as well. Planning to check it out tonight. I haven’t even seen what is on there yet.
Re: Anyone else get Disney+ ?
since i don't get it free, i'll wait til the mandalorian is ready to binge watch before signing up.
Re: Anyone else get Disney+ ?
Mandalorian played without a hitch. Tried to rewatch rogue one on 4K with HDR and was having frequent buffering. I’m on 150mbps so I think it’s on their end.
Re: Anyone else get Disney+ ?
We bought it at a promotional rate for three years at something like $3.50/month back when it was announced. Can’t beat that.
We dropped Netflix and all their foreign crackhead children programming (but will miss capt underpants with my 6yo).
We used the savings to get my wife a streaming Japanese service for $20 a month. Ouch! But that and Disney is all we have now outside of regular cable. Anything else I want my wife will get from the Public library... just watched John wick 3 and am in the queue for Jack Ryan 2nd season.
Public libraries are a gem if you take the time to take advantage. We can check out 4 relevant movies for 7day rentals and relevant video games for 12-14 days. It’s great and my wife is on it as she typically reads a book a week.
Mandalorian has been good so far. Just finished the second

Re: Anyone else get Disney+ ?
Signed up for a free year with my Verizon unlimited phone plan. We'll see when it comes up for renewal if I stay with it. I have yet to watch Endgame and the Mandalorian looks interesting.

Which service is that one? Is there a lot of variety of shows/movies on it? I kinda like Japanese sub-titled movies/ tv series.sierra11b wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2019 10:12 pmWe bought it at a promotional rate for three years at something like $3.50/month back when it was announced. Can’t beat that.

I can find out later. There’s no subtitles. It’s just a streaming service of their tv shows.unsub073 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 8:59 amWhich service is that one? One nice thing about the Disney + acct is it allows up to 4 devices simultaneously.mattcantwin wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 11:51 amSigned in as a guest on my son's account.

Re: Anyone else get Disney+ ?
Not sure how much mileage I'll get out of it outside of Mandalorian and some NG stuff. Son will watch most
