it's been a good couple of years, with the Caps kicking the stanley cup monkey off their back and now the nats doing the same. if only i thought there was any chance the skins would stop sucking again in my lifetime.

Congratulations to the Nats! Great game 7. Can't believe Scherzer was in a neck brace on Monday and pitched as well as he did last night. He may not have been at the top of his game, but considering his situation he was outstanding.

First time in history a WS has gone the distance without either team winning one game at home.

i won't lie, i was there for game 3, first home game, and it was *not* a happy ending. fun and amazing atmosphere, tho. looked the same in houston from the TV.

I don't know that this is like the black sox (gambling historically has a special place of derision in MLB, rightly or wrongly). This is more akin to Bill Belichick's and the Pat's past shenanigans. So I wouldn't be surprised if there's some sort of punishment, but I doubt anyone's getting banned from baseball.
