Top Gun: Maverick preview

Has anyone had time to catch the trailer for Top Gun: Maverick yet?

It was just released yesterday. With the new movie helping to celebrate
the original's 34th Anniversary. Arriving in movie theaters in 2020 guys.

Oh yeah. I see a movie maybe once a year in an actual theater...this will be the one next year.

Agreed, I avoid movie theaters too.

As much as I think Tom Cruise is an odd duck, I do respect that he does his stunts. This will be a great movie.

I’m really looking forward to this. I’m sure it’s just going to be a big macho popcorn flick, but sometimes that fits the bill.

Val Kilmer is supposed to be in it, even though he’s not in the trailer.

I did not know that Val battled throat cancer.

Tom Cruise is a freak of nature. And Val Kilmer looks like Warren Beatty (although I think he’s had health issues).

Val has dealt with throat cancer.

Trailer seems suspenseful and promising. Going to see it with my veteran cousins once released, but we're in for the nostalgia and Super Hornet.

Hopefully the story and jet stuff is good enough to keep me interested enough so I can keep my thoughts on their ages at bay. On that note, Jesus H. Christ father time has not been good to Ed Harris. He talks about Maverick being two star but he should be a retired full admiral!

I wonder if that chick is the new ice man? Hopefully her story is better than Kara Hultgreen's (rushed f14 pilot who died)

I also wonder what role Val Kilmer is going to play as I didn't see him in the trailer? Unfortunately, the cancer battle made him skinny enough for a uniformed role, but hopefully he pulls himself together to make it a worthwhile role worth adding, and gets a decent last paycheck.
