Never seen a 356 on the streets here. Wonder if its a real one or a kit:

We had '63 B cabriolet. That looks correct for a '61 B 1600. German vanity tags so maybe on island with a diplomat?

I totally agree. I’d really like a Subaru WRX STi. It would be perfect for my 3 mile commute - fun to drive, sporty, awd for the winter. Every time I almost buy one, I think back to how pissed I was to find my civic hit and then decide against it. Finding a nice new car hit would probably give me an aneurysm.
You should get one while you still can. Compared to most other cars on the market, the WRX STi is still pretty analog.
They’re selling the current version until at least 2020, so I still might. Lots of house related expenses though.

I was considering one but thought it was to “young” for my recently hit 50. 😂. Decided on the 335 xDruve M Sport instead.
If I were to get an STI down the road I’d need to exclude the whale tale.
I'm young at heart. Mine would be world rally blue with gold BBS rims and the hugest wing:

I only drive two miles a day so I want maximum fun.

That doesn't look fun in 10 inches of snow. I managed to get through one winter up here in my Civic but there were some damn scary drives into work, and I can't get my car out of the garage unless the driveway is perfectly shoveled. My wife's Outback just goes right up it. I never had an issue in Michigan, but it's so hilly here.

If I lived somewhere with good weather, I'd just buy a C6 ZO6 Corvette and call it a day. Here, I'm not sure even something like a Civic Type R would be OK in the winter when fitted with snow tires.

One of my Uncles lived through winters in central Iliinois with a Dodge Shelby Daytona Turbo and later a 5.0 Mustang and snow tires. It can be done, but don’t call me when you find yourself in a ditch. I put my RX7 through 360+ degrees on a curve in Indiana. I think it was wet, not icy. Didn’t leave the road, but left me a little unsettled.

Some reason or another I remember this Porsche have a roll cage in it. A guy at our USPS drives it.
Love me some Doka!!! They are fetching outrageous prices now, especially the Syncros! :fro:
And they are absolute rust buckets. Not to mention headgasket on them suck. Worse than subaru's  But still cool

After 19 years in southern CA I’m sorely out of practice for winter driving, or even rainy driving. I’m very happy to have AWD when we travel and actually see weather.

We do not get much rain or snow. If we get snow I just turn off the traction control and give it some gas

So cool! Really like the color, most of the ones you see around are silver.

Wurd. I learned to drive in one. The clutch is hard on a young buck when that trailer starts filling up with hay.

On the way home we drove by a charity auction and invited ourselves in. We were dressed more for Target, but had no choice but to accept the lobster rolls, steak, etc.
