If you want to see one of these Factory Five Cobra replicas in person, there are always several cars built from their kits at the cruise nights held every other Thurday in the Bass Pro Shops parking lot in Foxborough, MA. It's worth checking out if you're in the area. There are usually literally hundreds of cool cars there, from European exotics to American muscle.

I love it.

Personally if I ever get one it would stick with a small black motor under 350hp and 300tq. They get scary way to fast. These days I tend to like a good driving car that won't make me shit my pants. Maybe I am getting old :crybaby:
My friend's car had a Coyote with “a bit” more power than that.
Coyote would be my choice as well. Badass engine.

yeah the Coyote is very bad ass, having said that a well built sbf has a few advantages, the main one being that it is physically a much smaller unit, makes servicing easier (much more room in the engine bay) , and also allows the engine to sit back farther. In addition you get the simplicity of a carb if you dont want to run all the FI wiring and sensors. A 363 cid crate motor from Ford Performance (based on 302 boss block and the same physical size as a 302) is rated at just over 500hp by Ford. The highest rated Coyote 5 litre is rated at 460hp. The pushrob motor also makes about 30 extra ft/lbs of torque at a lower rpm. So they are very comparable one is old school one is modern, but it does require more sensors, drive by wire electronics etc....

Beautiful and awesome. I'm currently looking at a Caterham for the same reasons as a retirement gift to myself.
Yeah, same here. Blondie’s anti-motorcycle so a Caterham 7 in BRG is gonna be my retirement toy. Opening sequence of The Prisoner sold it for me.

If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.

Henry, saw a Catheram style/ Lotus 7 at a hill climb last year it was powered by a 300hp mazda rotary. It was so fast and ear splitting LOUD

Fair warning. That car will fucking kill you. My factory five car was brutal. Short wheelbase and power = snap oversteer.

Point straight press gas. I spun mine several times. It gets away quick. With that said, there’s nothing else like it. Have fun
