Where’s Michael and his wife? Amazing guitar and vocals,I listened to their CD on the way home from the Ares launch.
^^^I appreciate the kind words!
K and I did this quick vid as an exercise in learning how to edit two cameras over a single audio track today. Might do some things differently next time, but I hope y'all enjoy it; happy holidays.
I have to take care of some health things tomorrow am, but I'll be back with more, hopefully next week some time.

Great idea for a thread!
So gooooooood!!!!!
Whisky has killed more men than bullets, but most men would rather be full of whisky than bullets.
Winston Churchill.
Very nice. I play the piano a bit just to entertain myself. I always thought it would be so cool if I could play by ear. For those of you who can, it's an extraordinary gift.
Probably not many peoples taste and not the best recording. This was right before I left the band in 2013. I’m on the right with the white telecaster. Can’t hear it well but there’s a solo around 2:25
DAMN you guys were crushing it! That was bad ass bro!!
I’ve been fortunate to play with Josh (Substitute) a few times over the last 20 years. He’s an insanely good guitar player. He’s probably too modest to post anything in here. Any footage of my playing is at least 15 years old at this point so I won’t bore you with that. Eric cool set. I got a TD-17 and it’s been fun to mess around with. I will eventually get a monitor but right now I play through headphones.

Very cool set up. I run a td30 and was considering going to td50 or a pearl mimic pro unit. I'm also thinking of doing a ground up A2E conversion of a traditional kit. Swapping out to mesh heads, installing triggers etc. Just not sure I have time for that bit of work.

I actually find my Roland far more satisfying from a creative standpoint. We do though also have the Ludwig kit to mess around on.
I played some when I was younger, many years ago. About 2 years ago I got my son a starter Roland set. It had a whole different feel than I remembered. Do you guys see much difference?
i love the responsiveness of the roland Mesh heads......far different than a rubber pad e drum. THey feel a bit diff than a traditional head in that your stick doesnt sink into the head like on a acoustic set. It took a few weeks and then it was second nature. plus you can tighten or loosen the mesh heads just like a normal head if you want more or less bounce. The difference is that it doesnt effect the tuning. You can change tuning in the module itself. I DONT MISS TUNING DRUMS,,,,,,,,
Just bought a Pearl Mimic Pro Drum module running the latest Steven SLate 5 Drums. It is mindboggling.....Huge learning curve for sure compared to my Roland but well worth the effort. All real in studio drum samples leads to killer real drum sounds....DAMN...
Gonna take a while to dial it all in but here is a small test of me messing around with The Trooper from Maiden. Ignore music drop outs, weird audio clicking from youtube, some offtime playing etc as I was really just testing out a kit i pulled together. Basically adjusting shit with one hand while still trying to pay with the other..lol....The mix sucks etc but damn this module is powerful....I cant wait to dial it all in etc.....
Day 2 with the new drum rig still learning how to use the mixer etc. Will be a work in progress.
Here's a sample of me taking a stab at some Bowie. Granted I've never drummed to this song so didn't know a few bits, but I was happy with the sound I got from the drums. Blended pretty well.
