I ended getting my wife hooked and watched the first seven twice. Really good stuff and looking forward to the second season.

Twice?!

I mean, it was a good series, but who can sit through the same shows twice?!

I watched the first seven in one night by myself. She had to catch up and would never watch them unless I did too  :)

It's pretty good, but judging by the effusive praise in this thread, I thought this was going to be another The Wire or GoT. It has a lower-budget/network/non-prestige feel to me than I thought it would.

Tried Ozark...episode one was so depressing. No likeable characters. Not sure whether I’ll continue.

It doesn't get much happier. I made it through the first season and I liked it okay. I've watched three episodes of the second season and I'm not sure if I'm going to finish it. I also read an article that pointed out that, in just about every shot, everyone's lit so half their face is in shadow. Since I read that, I can't see anything else, and it's really distracting.

It doesn't get any easier, and there are still more unlikable characters to enter the show.

But, you will find interesting the development of the characters and the decisions they take due to their abrupt change of lifestyle. It is depressing, but good. You should stick to a few more episodes.

GoT has been a game changer, just like 24 and Lost were. Jack Ryan is definitely not up there, but its good nonetheless. The other show right now that I find could become a game changer is "Mr. Robot", some fine acting in that show (if you find interesting real world hacking, not "Swordfish" hacking).

To all sci-fi / space fans, check out The Expanse. Season 3 just came out.

I watched the first season of Ozark, but felt it was too much of an inferior Breaking Bad wannabe.

I may still check out the second season, but I'm not chomping at the bit.

We finished the 2nd season within a couple of days. It is one of those shows we binge watch as soon as it's released. Ruth actually becomes likeable and you kinda feel sorry for her.

Is Mr Robot into another season? I liked what I saw last year.

“First” on Hulu was pretty good, with Sean Penn about NASA in the future.

Nope, season 4 (which will be the final season), will air next year with 12 episodes.

Will check out "First".

Ozark is great. If you want to watch a show with literally no likeable characters, check out Succession. I love the show, by the way.

That’s exactly why I stopped watching Succession. I wanted to kill everyone Image

Ditto on the succession characters. Also, just bad acting. At no time do you think this is the way ultra rich folks live. More like first generation lottery winners

Your absolutely correct. I love the show, but there isn't a single likeable character on that show.

Finally watched the first two. For those that are not aware, there is a UHD version and it's stunning. HDR is fantastic.

It was good and I liked it but I liked The Bodyguard better...
