Buying a Preowned 328i x-drive M Sport - Any advice?

Post by Bradystraps » Sat Aug 04, 2018 8:19 am

Hi all,
Well, as fate would have it, my wife's 2003 GMC Yukon Denali is going down about 6-9 months earlier than I hoped for and I am going to pull the trigger on a 2015 BWM 328i x-drive M Sport model and give her our new Santa Fe Sport. This will also eliminate my purchase of the Sinn EZM3 and Archimede Pilot Chronos I had lined up. :banghead:

Back to the Bimmer, I have found a few nice options on CarGurus and all are within a 100 radius of me. I'd like to possibly tune the car and improve the performance a bit. Any of you have experience in 1) Buying a preowned model (what to look for, avoid etc.) and 2) Tuning/Peformance enhancing the car?

Thanks in advance.

Can't speak to BMWs all that much, but I would get a good Pre-Purchase inspection done. If you can get a BMW CPO as part of the deal, I'd spring for that. And it's a lower-end 3-series, so yeah, I think you're gonna need to chip it to have any real fun in it. Set aside the $2K for the tune and speeding ticket money.
