Cobra Kai Trailer

This looks really good. To bad it's going to be a YouTube Red Original Series.

Get him a body bag.

1- what is YouTube red?

2- how dare they portray Coors banquet in such a negative tone. Shame on them. And shame on them again for, I assume, for wasting a can by tipping it over for a movie scene. A real alcoholic ex ninja would never leave that much #kers in a can to tip and spill.

Its out. Finished watching the whole series in a day. Its not as funny as I thought it would be but it was okay. Its for people who watched the original Karate Kid. I saw all three plus the other one with Jackie Chan.

Anybody here watch it?
I’ve watched the series twice now. I found it fantastic. They are already picked up for season 2 and production underway with filming to start soon.

Yes, it is part nostalgia but the writing is pretty good and the storyline very well done, and season 2 should explore even more and move well beyond the story from original movie.

I watched it all a few days ago. It was great. I was a cool spin on the old story. I can’t wait for season 2.

Because they are trying to get Youtube Red off the ground.

It’s free for a month, so costs nothing to watch it. You also get no ads with Youtube red and Youtube music etc.

This is now on Netflix for those that didn't watch it when it came out. There are 2 seasons, and they are working on a 3rd one. I seriously enjoyed season 1, and getting ready to start the next one.

Binged it this weekend. Made it through Season 1 and half of Season 2. I enjoyed it a lot. The acting is solid and the story, while not Citizen Kane, is engaging. I think it will probably be lost on anyone who never saw the original, but the updates are fun and I like how they've sort of flipped the story on its side rather than keeping it the same or completely reversing it.

They do a good job of fleshing out Johnny Lawrence, who was of course a very one dimensional character in the original.

Yeah, I binge watched it over the weekend as well. Love how they don't take it too seriously, and it is almost satire at certain points. Definitely added a lot of nuance to the characters

I did enjoy one scene where Johnny had one of his students washing windows - the student asked him whether he should wash them in a certain way and Johnny said he didn't care.
