Rogue Echo Bike

Post by CGSshorty » Sun Mar 04, 2018 4:55 pm

Any air bike fans here? I just received my new Echo bike. It is so much nicer than the Assault Bike I use at the gym. It’s not even close.
The belt drive is very quiet and the whole rig is far more solid.
Calories and RPM feel like they match up to the Assault Bike for those who are used to it.

Very cool!! It looks more solid than the Assault bike. The bike is a great skill.

Saying it is more solid than the AB is like saying an Abrams is more solid than a 1985 Hyundai. Not close.

Wow. I ride the AB a lot since I don’t run. We’ve got 9, doubt they will be replaced anytime soon. I’m jealous.

That's super nice. I still roll with an old Airdyne. Loud and annoying, but I haven't killed it yet.

Does that cool your balls off during the ride?

Not much for the balls, but it does generate a nice breeze.

Very nice. If your facing a tv it makes it easier.

Chris...does it do pretty good for the upper body? I road an airdyne many years ago for our fitness tests. I currently ride an older recumbent stationary. No upper body at all.

The goal is to share the work with all four limbs. The legs get the bulk of the workout, though.

I don’t ride at a pace that is conducive to watching television.

That looks like excellent gear, Chris. I’m kinda thinking I want one.

I love having it at home. Some days I get stuck at work and can’t make it to Crossfit so it is nice to be able to do everything at home. My knees have seen better days, so bikes and rowers are a better option that running for me.

You have me watching the youtube videos on this one. The belt drive and adjustable seat would be a nice upgrade to my old Schwinn.

Chris how long do you typically ride? I'm usually 30 minutes on the stationary.

I prefer to do sprint style training for max calories. I usually do something like 4 sets of 4 minutes with a 15 second sprint at the top of each minute. I’ll do something similar for 10 minutes straight.
If you’re on this for 30 minutes at any kind of pace you’ll need an IV.

Thanks Chris for the feedback on this bike. I just got mine put together, and it is so much smoother and quieter than my AirDyne...love it.

Now to sell my Schwinn so I have some room in my garage.Image

Rogue Echo Bike

Post by CGSshorty » Sun May 27, 2018 5:32 am

I’m glad to help, Josh. It’s a great product, like just about everything else from Rogue (I’m a fanboy).

Sorry, Andrea. I wish I had a connection at Rogue. I spend way too much money with them. If you have a local CrossFit affiliate ask if they plan on ordering any Echo bikes. Maybe they’d let you piggy back on their order.
A great benchmark workout for this bike is 10 minutes for maximum calories. Try not to puke.

I have an AB and the latest Concept 2 rower. This has me thinking about picking up the Rogue bike.

The AB is a great bike too. Rogue makes amazing products, but the AB is worthy as well.

The Assault Bike is junk once you compare it to the Rogue. It’s not even close.

Haven’t used the Rogue bike yet. I have a full Rogue garage gym, and believe their products are second to none, so I’m sure that I’ll end up with one and will sell the AB.
