Keep in mind that I'm a brown dude looking for a car...
But yeah, that Raptor is awesome. And we probably should just buy another Land Cruiser. Sold our 2003 about a year ago, and we really miss it.
I'd be all in on the new Land Cruiser without a second thought.

mother in law just got a new land cruiser last year.
i like it, it's huge, and it's predictable. there's just nothing about it that feels like an almost six figure automobile to me when i drive it.
my father in law's cayenne gts on the other hand...

From out of left field comes the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT and the Kia Stinger GT.

Drove a few cars today.

C43 sedan: Didn''t love the looks (would definitely get the coupe). In Sport+ mode, the engine seemed awfully jerky and surprisingly laggy, but the thing feels really fast overall. Not sure I could handle the step up to a C63. I guess car guys don't count these as real AMGs.
Macan S: Perfectly competent, but boring. Not that much room, either (although I guess I'm spoiled by having owned large SUVs for more than the last decade).
718 Cayman S: Really fast and punchy. Handled great. This thing would be so much fun to drive.
2016 Cayman: That old flat 6 makes beautiful sounds. The slowest care I drove, but I was smiling the whole time.
2013 911: There's just nothing like a 911. Just perfection in a driving experience. I want one.

I'm thinking about going with a RWD vehicle, and getting a beater Accord/Camry/similar for winter that I'd pass along to my son when he starts driving in about 18 months.

I'm going to test drive a Stinger. I love the whole concept of those.

Last week, we replaced the X5 Diesel with a 2017 Range Rover Diesel ... I don’t think we’ll ever use the “desert mode” ;)

Land cruiser is over 80k for entry.

I’d go 4Runner all the way.

Me too. The SR5 4Runner can be had for $36k or less. Great value for money.

Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT or if you don't want to spend 66k+ I'd recommend a loaded Limited Grand Cherokee with the hemi. Fun and practical. My current situation as well
