Help find me my next car

Post by dukerules » Fri Feb 23, 2018 6:30 pm

I'm a bit lost with all the choices.

I want a premium 4-seater, less than $70K hopefully. Fast and 4WD are a premium, and as a matter of fact, I don't think I can do RWD any longer. Thinking about the Macan, Merc C43 AMG, and Audi S5. There are a lot of killer RWD and 2-seater options out there (particularly the M2, 718 Cayman, and C63), but we get enough days of bad weather here that I just don't want to play those games. Anything I'm missing?

Panamera? Panamera will be my next. Goes well with an ‘89 Landcruiser. :-)

Now you're talking. Is it in good shape? Everything turns to dust in the Northeast thanks to the salt they put down in the winter.

The line I use with my Landcruisers is: you gotta want to have it.

Yup. Hell, I'd even settle for the 300-hp variant.

A certified Model S P85D would be something I'd consider, if you have decent access to charging stations up there.

A friend of mine bought a new S5. I loved it - great acceleration and smooth. The interior and amenities are above the aging but very nice C43 AMG in my opinion.

I drive a RWD ‘18 M3 for reference and that S5 made me smile.

So they wouldn’t have to close their doors. Good enough reason I guess.

^^this^^

that said, if you need four doors the macan is an extremely entertaining option.
sport turismo even better, but my spec on that one comes closer to $170 than $70 :crybaby:

Like the looks of an F-Pace S. Just can't get that stigma of a Jag out of my head.

GS 350, IMO, is way under underrated.

Keep in mind that I'm a brown dude looking for a car...
But yeah, that Raptor is awesome. And we probably should just buy another Land Cruiser. Sold our 2003 about a year ago, and we really miss it.

Brown dudes can’t drive Raptors?

Get a complementary color truck?

Mr. Kobold says you're still welcome to drive one of his fire trucks even though you're brown.
