Orange County Punk

Post by stumpy1972 » Fri Dec 15, 2017 4:50 am

Not sure if you guys have seen this or not. I just watched it on Amazon last night. I found it kind of interesting. I'm from the eastern side of the country and used to listen to the Vandals, Circle Jerks and Black Flag when I was in high school, but didn't really know about their roots....

It's a long one so make some popcorn and get a beer out of the fridge before your start...

i watched like 20 min of it , pretty cool stuff. I was always more a fan of British punk but had my share of the SoCal and DC scene music in my collection as well.

Enjoy fellas!

I was into the Clash and the Sex Pistols quite a bit, but that's about the extent of my UK punk rock repertoire. Eric, you were the DWC guy I figured would be all over this documentary.

Great video. I grew up on Ramones/Dead Milkmen/Surf Punks/Black Flag/DK/Bad Brains/Jesus and Mary Chain so this is where a bunch of it came from. Super cool

Saw them live a few times while I was at ASU. Was a great music club called the Sun Club in Tempe. Long gone now but some great bands came thru there.

We use to party at a bar called "The Bank" in B-more, we saw the Ramones there about 8 times. It was a blast.
