New family car

Post by toxicavenger » Mon Dec 04, 2017 8:37 pm

I have been telling my wife for the last few years that if we decide we need a new car one of them will probably be a Hyundai Genesis R-Spec (5.0 v-8). On saturday we were at the red-light next to a standard version, my wife mentioned how good looking the car was. I told her it was a "Hyundai", she said "no way". That lead to a test drive, and that was all she wrote. Because my wife fell in love with it. Our only conditions was the car had to have less than 60k miles on it (we only buy used), and we won't sit in the dealership longer than 2 hours. They meet all of our request. We left with a 2014 pearl white (I wanted dark gay) 5.0 R-spec with black interior. This thing is pushing 429 horsepower in stock form.

So here is a not so good pic I took of it.

I’m with her...”no way!”

That’s a sexy beast. Congrats! Hopefully she’ll let you drive it up to the next get together.

Nice car! We should enjoy those V-8s while we still can.

New family car

Definitely a congrats, T-bird. A personal favorite of mine.

I drove a 2016 3.8 rental last year for a week and while not as fun as the V8, I'm sure, it was still fun to drive and looked great. I've been seriously considering one of these when my lease expires next year

We loved our 2016 3.8 while we had it.

Congrats Terry!

I figured you would, Terry, but I'm not certain you can get one of those at a car dealership.

Nice looking car! Try not to get into too much trouble with it!

Cool. I didn't know they have a V8. I assume it's AWD?

Every time I see one of these on the road i do a bit of a double take. Hard to believe it's a Hyundai. Congrats.

My first glance at the picture I thought it was a Mercedes. Damn nice looking car. I'll be checking that out.

That's awesome T. We need some videos, sounds and Hyundai burnouts! (Assuming it's not AWD).
