What do you drive???
Re: What do you drive???
I sometimes miss my Saab but having something with 4WD and decent ground clearance is convenient in snowy northern Michigan.

My faithful F-150 XLT work truck. Driven all over North Georgia for the past ten years doing property underwriting inspections. 389,000 + miles on the odometer, and she's never let me down.

Re: What do you drive???
2003 Suburban.
I'm planning to down-size to a smaller 3 row SUV with AWD (seating for 8) around September.
I'm a fan of Honda's, so will compare everything to the Pilot.
Most likely a 2019 unless one of the 2020 new releases (Explorer, Palisade, Telluride, other) is the best option.

Matt -- drive the Subaru Ascent.... we were down to Honda and Subaru.... although the Sub is a Turbo 4 cyl, the ride is waaaay better.mattcantwin wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2019 8:39 am2003 Suburban.

I'm a Honda fan, but the Pilot felt like a truck compared to the Subaru.
My wife also got 2nd row Captain chairs which Honda has but only in top line.
.....and a hint --- join either IMBA, ASPCA, Leave NO Trace, etc for $35-50 per year --- after 6 months (double check) you get Subaru VIP pricing. that's like a few hundred over invoice...

Are you a Costco member? I got invoice pricing and a $700 gift card when I bought the Enclave.

The Subaru is on the list and seems well reviewed.
Looking for second row bench, not Captain's chairs.
My potential test drives:
Honda Pilot
Subaru Ascent
Chevy Traverse (Enclave?)
In the upcoming releases:
Hyundai Palisade
Kia Telluride
Ford Explorer
Toyota Highlander
Paying off a few things between now and September, no rush on buying so I can do my homework on this.
Re: What do you drive???
Yes and no. You can spend just about as much on a Traverse. We looked at both, but preferred the look and feel of the Enclave.

Re: What do you drive???
I think that new Kia Telluride looks awesome. My wife is abut ready for a new ride and I'll definitely check it out when they start hitting the lots.
I'm getting the itch as well - an ATS-V sedan is tempting me. CPO used ones seem like a great bargain now.

Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade; never thought I'd be considering a Kia (have had positive experiences with Hyundai's).shaneotool wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2019 12:20 pmI think that new Kia Telluride looks awesome.

Re: What do you drive???
Bench is avail in the Ascent. Third row was tight in the Toyota.
I found the Chevy crazy pricing for their new model.
The VIP program is great. No negotiating. Dealers aren’t nuts about it but to hell with them.

Re: What do you drive???
The Traverse/Enclave twins are really large. Ours is much roomier in the middle and rear than the Yukon we nearly bought. The kids love it.

My sister has an Acadia. It's a nice, roomy, comfortable vehicle. She has two kids and two large dogs, and there's more than enough room for all.

It’s not close, either.mattcantwin wrote:I've been doing some research, amazing how the Enclave has more room behind the third seat than the Yukon.

Re: What do you drive???
We test drove one of the Enclaves last year. You are right it has a lot of room after the third room. The only thing we found with about the same room was the E350 Mercedes wagon.

The Subaru AWD system is noticeably better than the Honda or Toyota system (Land Cruiser/4Runner/Trucks excluded).justsellbrgs wrote:Matt -- drive the Subaru Ascent.... we were down to Honda and Subaru.... although the Sub is a Turbo 4 cyl, the ride is waaaay better.mattcantwin wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2019 8:39 am2003 Suburban.
