I'd like a GTI next. They offer the Sport package with the Clark Plaid seats and no moonroof. Perfect.

I went with leather but I do love the plaid seats. The 2018 GTI gets a full digital dashboard which looks incredible. Similar to the A4 in function.

5speed 4banger 2011 Tacoma 2x4 in silver which is apparently a rare bird given the reaction of the Toyota mechanics whenever I service her every 6 weeks. I did order directly from my Toyota finance brother. Simple, reliable, not a ticket magnet because it doesn't go so fast with my lead foot.

I love it as a daily driver as I put on a ton of miles a week now, but would like to revisit something faster later in life, assuming I can afford an a la carte sports car someday.

You LEO will get a kick out of this story: When driving my previous WRX STi (400hp at the wheels with tasteful mods -- what a fun car!) I got pulled over by the same CHP motorcycle Officer twice in 6 months and the first words out of my mouth were, "Hey, I remember you, Officer!" Doh! :banghead:  And that was my 3rd speeding ticket (not including fix-its) in that 6 month allotted time back in 2009. Not one since.

Totally unrelated but a friend of mine collects K1000s, has been buying them from police auctions here for years. Not many left now but they're very cool in an 80s way.

It's a 2014 Harley Davidson ElectraGlide Police Edition. I'd swap it out for a BMW R 1200 RT any day!

^^^are you guys getting BMW's for the department?

I've always had an appreciation for H-D as an American brand, etc., but damn those BMW R 1200 RT's are nice.

Going completely 180* away, I've actually been toying with the idea of buying one of those Urals with a sidecar to putt around with with my kids. I think they have about as much power as a modern moped (maybe less), but they are kinda cool and unique.

We have been trying to get Bimmers for a while. The RT is a purpose built police bike and suits our needs better than the Harley. That being said, we have ridden Harley's since 1918 and have 40 of them in the fleet.

I love the Ural's, that would be super fun to ride around town with the kids! I think they have 65 hp. :)

2014 911 4S. Picked it up at the Porsche factory in Stuttgart and drove around Europe for three weeks before shipping it home. Great experience to get it on the Autobahn (285 km/h).

Beautiful. Must have been a cool experience to pick the car up at the factory and break it in on the Autobahn.

my Lease on the Acura MDX is up soon and I gotta figure out the next car. Not sure whether i need another SUV or a sedan.....Really liking this Giulia but no clue on reliability etc. Just a cool looking car...at reasonable price. Anyone have experience with an Alfa?

Seems like a big a gamble to take to me. $43000 to build it as I'd spec it and that comes with an unproven US track record. That said, it looks nice in the pics.

Buddy has had one for about 4 months and absolutely loves it.
