My Taco is approaching 10 years old and other than normal routine maintenance, no real issues.
Tonneau covers work well to keep stuff dry and out of sight. I’m guessing you guys have typical island weather with brief showers being somewhat common, so the cover will be helpful.
I also have a flip out bed extension on mine for bringing out the surfboards. I have a padded board strap attached to the bed extension which works not only for surfboards, but also for hauling around the occasional pile of lumber for some home project.
I would have the truck undercoated with Fluid Film (oil based, not rubbery). The reason I suggest this is the lower control arm bolts and bushings tend to seize (after years of neglect). An ounce of prevention now will save hours of sawzall time in the future.
Yep, rains a lot here so I need the cover as this will be my main vehicle. Just finished installing the drain tubes today:
Will definitely check out the extension and the fluid film undercoating, thanks!

We haven’t gotten any 2020 models yet. Ford has had major issues getting the new Explorer to market.
The 20s are rear or AWD. I’m not sure what we’ll be getting.

Still a WIP but looking better and better. BIL has a make shift paint booth in the back yard and so I let him spray the bumper and hood. Not bad from 20 feet

Thanks T!
Thanks man. Negative, turned in the Accord coupe about 2 years ago at lease end.
We had another Accord, an Accord Sport, that we turned in last week and in turn we leased a new Honda Passport. This thing is awesome.

If you decide to upgrade lighting (or anything else) PM me and I’ll share some tips from the upgrades I did.

Just picked up a Ranger. NJ dealers are desperate for business. They just partially reopened: showrooms are still closed but they'll do home test drives and delivery. Easiest transaction ever.
