I thoroughly enjoyed An Unfinished Life the other night. The scenes with Redford and Freeman alone are fantastic. Two old pros doing what they were born to do

Just finished up The Spy on Netflix. One season six episode dramatization of the life of Eli Cohen, who was a spy for Israel in Syria for several years in the early 1960s. Sacha Baron Cohen (no relation) plays Eli Cohen and is really good. If you like slower moving spy stories a la John LeCarre, you'll enjoy it.

Dropped my daughter with her friends at the cinema to watch IT2, a 3 hour movie which I already saw with the wife, and decided to watch Rambo 5 by myself while waiting. Well.... as expected lots a very graphic killings and at least now can inform the rest of the family they won't be allowed to watch it.

Watched Last Flag Flying on Prime - good, but not great. Worth it for the acting (Lawrence Fishburne, Steve Carell, Brian Cranston).
Saw John Wick 3. It's what you expect - an action movie that's a cut above. Still not better than the first one. There will clearly be another sequel.
Martin Scorsese's The Irishman is getting incredibly good buzz. Comes out on Netflix at the end of November and in theaters a few weeks before that.

The El Camino breaking bad movie on Netflix is good. It’s essentially a 2 hour BB episode focusing on Jesse, and really well done. If you were a fan of the series, you’ll definitely like it.

I saw The Irishman and Ford vs Ferrari.
The Irishman is 3+ hours and is about the post WWII mob and Jimmy Hoffa. My wife thought it didn’t go deep enough into the characters. I was riveted. The cast and acting was superb.
F vs F was great. Incredible racing scenes. Maybe the best racing movie of all time. And the wife also loved it.

Just finished watching season three of Goliath. Cliff hanger ending. Very good season though.
I watched episode one of Treadstone. Look promising.
Ballers finished and it was a good run.

Saw Joker last night, still not entirely sure how I feel, it’s quite depressing.
Looking forward to Ford vs Ferrari, the book was a brilliant and I have high hopes for the movie.
The latest season of Peaky Blinders is on Netflix as well.
The Irishman...Very well done. Three and a half hours is a lot to ask, but it rarely got slow. Pesci, well, all the cast, was great. I thought it was very good. Should elicit some good conversation here.
