Here are a few more I knocked out in the past week or so:

Winter Passing: Indie flick with Ed Harris and Will Ferrel. It's okay, average, just average.

It's kind of a Funny Story: A comedy with Zac Galifianakis. It is a tale of every kids problems, minus the psych ward. It was funny and worth a watch.

Door in the Floor: Jeff Bridges and Kim Basinger in a drama about a writer and his wife who had lost two children. The best part is Kim's relationship with the summer intern...it's straight up PG porn...you'll see. Funnier than sad.

Rescue Dawn: christian Bale and Steve Zahn in a movie about a US pilot, Dieter Dangler, who was shot down in Nam. Slow, interesting, often amusing. Worth a watch though.

Yep, C, he is kind of right. The main stream stuff is pretty average and predictable, just like the radio. Once you get off the "beaten path" there is a whole new world of movies and music.

Last night we watched a Russel Crowe flick that was very intense start to finish. It is fairly new (2010), but I had never heard of it. The NF software suggested it for us and gave it almost 5 stars. I'd say it was 4.
It is called "The Next Three Days" and is about Crowe's wife being imprisoned for murder and him trying to get her out.

I'm mostly into Westerns. And I love Eastwood films.

Also a sucker for classic films, and all things Hitchcock.

That is a pretty intense movie and I don't think it was brought to the US. Maybe not enough hot women and people getting shot.

Pretty sure it was in the US - I remember watching it...... though it might have been a rental, not in the theater.

yeah and part 2 is out now. the first one was gross but filmed really bad and the acting was just horrible (yeah I know how could that be possible is such a nasty ass movie). well part2 is about a guy who is in love part 1 and he is a freak!!! :puke: very demented, but the acting is allot better and the man actor fits the part perfectly. if you aren't afraid of some gross shit then watch.

if this movie doesn't even make you flinch then watch A Serbian Film.

I went to see the new movie Immortals in UltraAVX 3D.
This movie has got lots of action. Many fight scenes, definitely a guys movie. :fro:
Very cool in 3D and I usually don't like 3D stuff.
The story is not all that great as in character development and stuff. But its an action flick for sure.
Entertaining and its filmed sort of like the movie 300, but I felt 300 was better movie, and better film/style/effects without 3D.
I recommend it for anybody who wants to see action and battle scenes.

I don't get this hokee UltraAVX 3D gimmick. I asked what the difference was from regular 3D and the staffer told me better projection screen and sound. I wasn't impressed, seemed regular no difference to me. Gimmick, for extra $2-3 dollars. :raised:
Go see it regular 3D.

But for a greek mythology movie, wasn't enough T & A IMHO. lol.

There wasn't, I was disappointed about that.
There should've been naked virgins throughout the movie, but hey what did I expect for an $18 ticket for flick. :tap:
But what do I know? lol.

I agree Gerry, I did like Troy.

Here are a few more:
Panic Button-kind of a different take on a revenge movie and not to bad http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1727358/
Norweign Ninja's-total goofball movie that is trying to be serious, worth a good laugh
Cat Run-some people trying to avoid being killed by a middle age female assassin. decent enough to watch and it has the hottie Paz Vega in it.
Mr.Nice-a movie about a elite drug smuggler, not to bad but kind of gets a little boring http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1183911/
Winter Passing-came out in 06' pretty cool movie with some good actors in it, based on a eccentric family http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0380817/
In to her Skin-Aussie movie from 09' about a girl who goes missing and all the difficulties trying to find her http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0995851/
Gun Shy-pretty funny older movie with Liam Neeson in it and Sandra Bullock http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0171356/

some more that I have watched recently:
Headhunters-a pretty cool movie from Norway that has some twists to it. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1614989/
Warrior-great UFC based movie that is bad ass and worth the price of admission. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1291584/
Salvation Boulevard-not your typical Pierce Brosnan by any means but pretty funny and Marisa Tomei is still cool. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1251743/
50/50-cancer survivor but with some humor in it with Seth Rogan, worth watching but just don't expect it to be a comedy movie http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1306980/
Teenage Dirtybag-not bad kind of a stoner misunderstood movie. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1091207/
The Mortician-rapper trying to act in a movie that just isn't made that well http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1211353/

Thanks T, I grabbed a few of those and put them into my NF que.

Here are a few I have watch in the past week or so:

The Robber-(foreign/German) flick about a runner who robs banks-weird premise? Perhaps, they try to connect the two with his need for thrill/adrenaline. It is good, their are some gaps in the story, but it works.

The High Cost of Living-stars ZAch Braff from Scrubs. He delivers the goods in this drama about a drug dealer and a housewife who are united after an accident. (@ half this is in French because it is set in Montreal).

Adrift-(foreign/Portuguese) A coming of age movie about a teenage girl who finds her father cheating on her mother, as she struggles with her own sexuality. It stars Vincent Cassel, who I have a man crush on.

Jackie Brown-great Tarantino flick, from days of old. I'm not sure why I never watched this one until now?
