We just watched The Old Man & the Gun. Redford still has it, but I wonder how many more. My wife informed me that we've probably seen every one of his films, which dates us too.

I didn’t recall this movie coming out, but on HBO Go, “tag” was pretty good

Just watched Polar on Netflix. I liked it, far fetched violence, with a twist.

Yeah that was fun.

Season 2 of Punisher was just ok to me. Kind of grew tired of the “shoot me 100 times and break my bones, but I won’t die” theme.

Binged through that one too. Really a great series. Now to wait at minimum a year for the next season

Watched Once Upon a Deadpool last night with my 8yr old. That was funny as hell. Basically a Deadpool movie tamed down for kids. Still very edgy

Some tv I've been watching lately:

True Detective Season 3 - outstanding. Mahershala Ali and Stephen Dorff are both great in it, and the mystery is intriguing. Highly recommended.

The Passage - surprised at how much I like this one. It's a bit formulaic, but I think the acting is good. It probably helps that I read the novel and really liked it, so I'm curious to see how they tell the story.

I Am the Night - watched two episodes and couldn't get into it. Sounded like an interesting premise relating to one of the prime suspects in the Black Dahlia murder, but the story just comes across flat and clichéd to me. And other than Chris Pine, everyone seems to be trying to win the Overacting of the Year award.

Russian Doll - watched this because it's received great reviews. It t is good, but maybe not as good as the critics would have you believe.

You - only watched the first episode. It was okay (kind of a stalker/Dexter thing), but not sure I'm going back to it.

I thought it was beyond horrible. I kept hoping it would get better, and it never did. That was a hour and half of my like that I will never get back.

Watched White Dragon on Amazon Prime. Murder mystery set in Hong Kong. Not life altering, but well acted and worth the time.

No worries. Everything that was said about here sounded like it would be good. That "hit squad" seemed like a dumber version of Hudson Hawk to me, and I will fully admit that Hudson Hawk is extremely campy.

I felt the same way about Bird Box when I finally got around to watching it. If it hadn't been for the A-/B+ list headliners, everyone would be remembering it as a mediocre rip-off of A Quiet Place.

I watched Fast Times at Ridgemont High, it was good. I thought Phoebe Cates was awesome!

Velvet Buzzsaw on Netflix. Great cast, mediocre movie.

True Detective season 3 has been incredible.
Watched the first episode of Russian Doll. Might do one more, but not sure.

Recently saw Hunter Killer and enjoyed it. Then again I'm a sucker for Submarine/Navel movies and also had some special ops on land action.

Also just saw Bohemian Rhapsody, which I agree was quite good.

I wrote that one off because the previews looked awful. I’ll check it out.
