Re: Movie suggestions!!
War Dogs, recommended.
Magnificent Seven, wait for cable.
Jack Reacher 2, not as good as 1
Not a movie but a documentary call Sour Grapes about fake wine being auctioned for millions of dollars, very interesting.

Re: Movie suggestions!!
That one is on my watch list. I would not recommend Last Knights. It is really poor take on the 47 Ronin story, and Clive Owen is a horrible actor.
Re: Movie suggestions!!
I didn't realize this was out already. I am a member of the forum where Kurniawan was officially outed in possibly one of the greatest threads in the history of the internet. Do they mention Winebeserkers and Don Cornwell in the documentary (or are they featured)?

Not that I can remember (I think I would if they had), they featured William Koch and his team of ex FBI and CIA investigators as well as French wine producer Laurent Ponsot as the main investigators.Chocodove wrote: ↑Fri Feb 03, 2017 8:05 amI didn't realize this was out already. Can you link to the thread? I'd be interested to read it.
Re: Movie suggestions!!
It's 182 pages, but worth it over the course of a week or so if you are actually interested in this stuff. It chronicles everything, from Rudy being outed all the way up until the trial and after. This forum is filled with true ballers (unlike me) and it's fascinating to see the reaction when the house of cards comes crashing down. Don Cornwell is a hero.james80 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 03, 2017 4:59 pmNot that I can remember (I think I would if they had), they featured William Koch and his team of ex FBI and CIA investigators as well as French wine producer Laurent Ponsot as the main investigators.Chocodove wrote: ↑Fri Feb 03, 2017 8:05 amI didn't realize this was out already. Movie suggestions!!
Will take a look for sure. It amazes me how many so called "experts" we're sucked in and fooled. There's a scene in which some famous guy brings a bottle, opens it and goes on about how this is the real thing (after they know about the fraud) how great it is etc etc then another expert tries it and says its fake piss.
Re: Movie suggestions!!
He literally completely ruined the market for fine rare wine at auction. He was buying and selling so much, with so many bottles he touched eventually seeing the market, that who knows what's real or fake for the most coveted labels/vintages. All the buyers don't want to take bath on the resale of the wine they bought from him (since it's all speculation at auction anyway), so none of them want to admit that they actually might have fake shit. That minefield is a million times worse than vintage Rolex. It's a crazy story.james80 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 03, 2017 5:35 pmWill take a look for sure. (sorry, I was a wine steward throughout college and a little beyond and this is the wine geek in me coming out)

Re: Movie suggestions!!
Saw "A Dog's Purpose" with my 7 year old daughter Saturday. I really liked it. Is it sappy? Yes at times. A tear jerker for sure if you are a dog lover like I am.
I find the concept of a dog reincarnation interesting as I believe in reincarnation for humans.

Re: Movie suggestions!!
John Wick 2 is good with jujutsu, knife fights and guns. I enjoy it.
Watch collector since 1989
Re: Movie suggestions!!
Manchester By The Sea...Damn good movie. Casey Affleck is one hell of an actor.
Multiple flashbacks and that sort of makes it.
Will be interesting to see how it fares Sunday night.
