Just started watching "Ranch", the laugh track is horrible, and if you can get past that, the show is actually entertaining.

I disagree. It's the one of the worst movies I've watched in awhile. And DEFINITELY the worst mainstream movie I've watched recently.

Yes it was. They pulled out every cliche they could save resurrecting Jaws but got pretty damn close to Oddjob.

It was almost like they ripped off Austin Powers.

Also, JB shot down a helicopter...from like 500 yards away...with a handgun. The invisible car Pierce Brosnan drove around in was more believable.

He was shooting a .40.

Wasn't he shooting his PPK? I saw the movie awhile ago. At any rate, I'll defer to you, but it seems like a pretty impossible thing to do with a handgun from the distance portrayed in the film (and he was driving a boat at the time, too).

Or are you thinking of Skyfall? That did have this scene (helicopter brought down by shrapnel from an explosion).

Saw Sicario over the weekend (finally). I know a lot of folks here really liked it, but I was lukewarm on it.

I should'ah checked with the reviews, BUT the new Star Wars, seems like a "C" (if there is a "C") made for TV movie. I'm at 30 minutes into the flick, and, I can't believe how bad it is! Even Calvin walked back to his bed, looked at me, as if to say, "I want my 30 minutes back". ...

Well, when Disney gets it right, they get it right. Nothing I wanted to watch while I had my dinner, so, I took a chance and bought (no rental option) Cinderella ... :shifty: ....

This was a great take on their timeless story. Last time I saw Cinderella was when it was animated, in a Galaxy, a long, long, time ago. ...

PS Caught Calvin with something in his eyes, a few times. Dang Kid!

My wife and I love Trainwreck. She has a very Long Island/NYC sense of humor, so probably not for everyone.

The Barkley Marathons on Netflix!!!! Awesome documentary on one crazy cross country foot race!!! Great flick even if you aren't a runner.

Indeed. I've just re-watched Quantum of Solace. When I went to the cinema to see it I remember being disappointed in comparison with CR, but after Spectre, it's a masterpiece. Big shame, as imo, Craig's tenure will be remembered for a great debut that swiftly went downhill - not his fault, though, shit directing.

My buddies produced the Team Foxcatcher documentary that hit NETFLIX yesterday. Watched it last night and it was definitely interesting and true to the timeline. Nancy Shultz was a big part of this one.

All I remember about my first trip to Foxcatcher was when Dan Chaid told me, "don't make eye contact with the old guy....I'm serious"
