Jeez, The Wire is required viewing.

Joe have you never seen The Wire?
Joe?

No Fred, I've never seen it until last night. I dig it though.

LOL,

This Joe hasn't seen it either. I did enjoy The Shield a lot (not in Netflix either). How does The Shield compares to The Wire?

+1 on The Expanse and Narcos.

The Shield is very good...but really there is no peer to the Wire IMO.

Filet mignon and McDonald's. Both tasty, but you know the quality isn't the same.

Tried watching The Wire multiple times, couldn't get past the first few episodes. Surprised because it looks like my kind of show

I will give it another chance (starts slow IMO), but The Shield grabbed me from the start... and the ending of the show was really good.

I've been watch The Leftovers. Season one was good and weird. I'm only half an episode into season two.

Three seasons in total, and the series just ended. It stops being based on the book after Season 1 though.

Sense8 is very good but they have cancelled it after two seasons :-(
Is the 2nd season worth watching knowing there will be no season 3? I haven't started season 2 yet.

Person of Interest all the way!!!!!! That show is one of the greats!!! It's writing is spectacular as is the level of acting. Also Breaking Bad kicks major ass!! But please check out Person Of Interest it starts a little slow, but its a WILD ride and John Reese would kick John Wicks ass 9 kinds of ways.

I caught an episode of this and thought it was another shitty CBS show. Is it actually one of the very few basic cable shows that doesn't suck?

Speaking of weird, the second season of The Leftovers is almost "David Lynch WTF is this" weird".

I think it turned out great myself, but I do agree things did seem to get hurried due to CBS cutting their season to 13 episodes instead of 24. I guess the journey that all of them took together in the show, and how it all came together just made it work. What made it seem weird to you my friend? Just curious? I own all 5 seasons and have watched it a few times maybe I can explain some stuff. I think Christopher Nolan hit a home run along with JJ Abrams.

I disliked all of the crazy government conspiracy stuff. I think it was great until it headed that direction.

Oh I agree 110% with ya there with the eye in the sky big brother is watching everyone crap. Samaritan was just a AI with a wide resource of agents that didn't really represent the government, but conned them to try and control the world without anyone figuring it out.

I really dig this thread!! Thanks guys for some advice for stuff to watch!! I just got Netflix myself a week ago, and haven't had cable TV in 8 years! So I have been watching Breaking Bad, and TWD lol. All I had was free over the air TV so all I had was crap and rentals.

+1. I stopped watching it as soon as it headed that direction. Just dragged from then on for me.

One of the reasons I watched it for as long as I did was
