Your favorite underrated band?
Your favorite underrated band?
I'm sitting here by the pool smoking a nice stogie and put on some music by Live. It got me to thinking how much I really love their music. I think there are/were very underrated. Especially their first three albums. I've seen them three times before they broke up. Really awesome show at the House of Blues in Orlando many years ago with the wife.

I'm not sure they qualify as underrated, but I'm a Deftones fanatic.

Before I opened the thread, Live was the first band to come to mind. They put out some real solid stuff.

Good choice. Have you checked out Old Silver Key (same vocalist) and Les Discrets?Seppia wrote:Alcest

I think Allen Stone is extremely underrated. He's fantastic.
Re: Your favorite underrated band?
I don't know if they are truly underrated, or just not a widely popular sound, but I've been a Social Distortion fan since the late eighties and they are still around to see live.
A great song writing duo that wrote a ton of stuff that became popular by others but only released a handful records of their own is Lowen and Navarro. Lowen passed away from ALS about 10 years ago, but their music still holds up.

love Screeching Weasel.
Re: Your favorite underrated band?
We saw the lead singer of Live (Ed Kowalczyk) do a solo acoustic set opening up for Collective Soul a couple years ago, and he still brings it. I would throw Collective Soul on to that list, and always Toad the Wet Sprocket.hobbit712 wrote: ↑Sun May 21, 2017 12:53 pmI'm sitting here by the pool smoking a nice stogie and put on some music by Live.
