Latest news report is suicide by hanging. Sad, and just don't get that mindset that puts you in that place.

I agree. It's even stranger since he seemed to be a grounded musician and somewhat of a family man. I wonder if his family knew of his mental illness.
Re: RIP Chris Cornell
Heard about it this morning. What a shame. My heartfelt condolences to his family.
I've been a huge fan of Soundgarden since middle school and even Audioslave. Today's Freddie Mercury
Had a couple Kevin Bacon connections with the band, including an old timer (by enlistment age back then) grunge-era grunt who wanted to jump from planes before he got too old (and a lifer on the verge of retirement today), who worked directly with the best of them, including Chris, Nirvana, Pearl Jam. His guitar skills made "barracks whores" panties drop and all of us fully erect. And a couple dudes who worked with Jason Everman in Batt, both of which made the connection slightly stronger then.
Mental illness is a bitch.

Re: RIP Chris Cornell
his wife has reported he was taking Ativan and feels he might have increased his dosage and led to suicidal thoughts...
I remember his interviews on Stern being very interesting...

I loved his music, but he has been one step away form being a junkie since his 20's it seems. Honestly I am surprised it took this long.

With a lot of musicians and creative minds that I've met, there is a fine line between successful and rehab.toxicavenger wrote:I loved his music, but he has been one step away form being a junkie since his 20's it seems. Honestly I am surprised it took this long.
