Heavy metal is a lifestyle that doesn't go away with time. Same music. We just get older.

I'm surprised the crowd looks so young.

The lineup was all newer bands hence the younger crowd is my guess. The only 2 old bands were King Diamond and Slayer. That's all I went to see anyways. The festival started at 1 pm today. I got there at about 8pm and saw the last 2 only.

Looks like you got a great perspective for not being there early. Not fan of Slayer or 80's/90's hair bands in general, but cool for you.

I wouldn't know - looks like they have plenty? I consider any group with hair past the ear a hair band.

I couldn't pick a Slayer song out of a two song line up with the other being "Achy Breaky Heart".

Here's a hair band. Dee was my cousin-in-law through marriage. Cool guy.

Twisted Sister, now that brings memories. Good tunes but couldn't and still can't get into their look.

I haven't seen Dee since my divorce in 2007. But his 50th birthday party (we were seated next to Sebastian Bach) and first full makeup reunion shows (before their Sweden tour) were memorable.

Reign in Blood is my favorite Slayer album followed closely by Seasons in the Abyss. Kerry King is a metal fucking genius. Color me envious dude. Seriously. I used to love wearing my Seasons shirt to school to freak out the Pentecostals. Upside down crosses? Check. Skulls? Check. Slayer-gram? Check. Fuck yes. :headbang:

Anytime my man....I got a couple more myself and just got my ship notice as well.

Here's a you tube vid from the show last night of the opening song (new track) Repentless. Since I was at the front I felt the heat from the pyro :torch:

I knew there was another great reason for joining this forum, loads of metal heads. It absolutely stays with you! Been in to metal since early 80's, it never goes away. Only seem Slayer once at Hammersmith in London supported by Slipknot. It's safe to say they brought the house down. Took my buddy, he disappeared up front somewhere and saw him end of gig covered in bruises. Got a call next day from his wife "telling me off " and I was not to take him to a gig any more. she doesn't know what she's missing!

A kid I went to high school with is now Exhumed's bassist and on vocals as well. Not my type of music (gore metal) but still awesome to see someone I know doing what they love. Matt's a great guy and also a tattoo artist as well.
