As is Habs/Sens, five goals in five minutes.. Subban just got a 5 minute game misconduct for slashing. Hate that guy.

playoff hockey is a rush. totally different beast. love it, even though my team is on the losing end of intensity at the moment.

6:40 left and they are up by 2 goals. How many times have I seen them lose this game?

It's how they're playing though. This looks like the team we saw in November not the team we saw in February.

Please knock out Ovechkin and his over the top goal scoring celebrations so the Rangers can beat you in a subsequent round.

The Rangers are the better team, but they want no part of the Islanders. It's a bad matchup for them.

Hey Todd good you're back.

Kings didn't deserve to be in the playoffs.
It was theirs to lose and they did.

Didn't plan to follow the games but a bunch of good ones. Hard to ignore.

I know this will come across as being an Islanders fanboy but the Rangers are not the better team. They have been riding a combination of unsustainably high shooting percentage, save percentage, and mediocre possession numbers for months now. Its going to come to an end, its just a question of when.

And as you can see the playoffs is a new season. The presidents trophy winner rarely takes home the hardware when all is said and done.

Holy crap looks like I missed a classic with Preds/Hawks last night..

Re Isles/Rangers, I think they match up well. Tavares is better than anyone on the Rangers, but we've been doing it with role players all season long. It would be a great series to watch. Have to give Henrik the edge in goaltending though.

At least you avoided the classic goober fanboy words like "we" and "our" and you backed it up with real tangible knowledge vs. generic blather like "we're better!"

I agree to a certain degree-but after seeing the Rangers play in person with seats on the boards-they have 4 strong lines and come at you in waves. Henrik the Great helps too. They play similarly to the Minny Wild-fast puck possession team.

I love Ovechkin. I know he hasn't done squat in the playoffs, but he is one of a handful of players that I stop what I am doing when he has the puck.

Hopefully tonight is not Game 1 of the Blues choking in the playoffs again. Depending on what expert you read, they are one of a couple of teams to make it out of the west, but as a long time Blues fan, I have heard it all before. I still think the Hawks are the scariest team in the west, and until proven otherwise, they are the team to beat.

Of the four games tonight, I'm interested in Ducks v Jets and Wild v Blues. I would like to see Byfuglien break Silfverberg or at least put a beating on that punk.

Ovechkin is a beast and he probably has the most lethal one-timer in the game. Now that he actually cares about defense the Caps are extremely dangerous. I think he was around minus 35 last year and this year he is plus 10 or something like that. But I can't stand the celebrating like he just won the Stanley Cup, Olympics, and lottery all at once after every goal. i guess he deserves it though.

Would I want him on the Rangers? Absolutely.

Anyone see the Subban slash from yesterday? He's a whole other story...
