I never purchase a vehicle that's been modded whether lightly or otherwise
I'd skip #3 for obvious reasons, damage and the price difference isn't far off from the others

Re: Pickup Truck Question...
Yep #2.
Re: Pickup Truck Question...
I don't usually contribute to the car threads since I buy cars purely for utility, but #2 is the very obvious choice. And in reading the responses since, it appears we're all in agreement.
Re: Pickup Truck Question...
Yep. #2 is the winner there
Re: Pickup Truck Question...
2 but I also had that in black and a manual 6spd. I like the looks of the 5 ft bed and prefer the TRD Off-road package to the sport.

Re: Pickup Truck Question...
A fellow Tacoma owner told me that the ride on highways of the Tacoma's TRD-off road package is not that great. Otherwise, I would pick #2 mainly for the warranty and low mileage. The TRD Sport Tacoma has a smoother ride.
But I dig the 6 foot bed and modifications of #1.

Re: Pickup Truck Question...
I think that's probably true. My Tacoma did ride rough but the off road package has more aggressive tires than the Sport package. Combined with leaf springs in the rear, along with no weight, it did bounce around more than my Ram does. Granted, it's a truck. Want a smooth ride? Re: Pickup Truck Question...
Well after twelve hours it seems everyone came to the same conclusion I did.
While I would love an extra foot of cargo box, and the TRD Sport will handle and ride better on the road (where most DD trucks live most of their lives), BUT the TRD Off-Road is a better package overall because when I am offroad or in the snow, that locker & the ATRAC will flat trump that LSD. The Off-Road pkg also comes with HAC & DAC, skidplates, towhooks...Sport does not. The Off-Road pkg is more expensive but I am not seeing that in these used prices. And the super low 8K miles on top of that trumps just about everything...assuming that when I am standing in front of and am driving this whip, it's still all that & a bag of chips.

Re: Pickup Truck Question...
Oh, and that is Truck #2. So I guess I owe everyone who voted for #2 a beer.

Re: Pickup Truck Question...
I went out last night, as it was falling. Streets were mostly empty. Just me out cruising, jamming to some Big Head Todd & The Monsters Bluetoothed off my iPhone - couldn't do that in the old Volvo Lutefisk. Dropped some Bday packages for a couple nieces & nephews at the Post Office, hit the drug store and a pizza place for some takeout.
