Game of Thrones

Post by dukerules » Wed May 14, 2014 9:00 am

Continues to blow me away. The last episode was fantastic. And I'm actually enjoying it a lot more now that I'm no longer reading the books.

I had / have some catching up to do. Ben kept praising it, so had to start from Season 1 (we're in the middle of season 2 now) and love it!

I thought Peter Dinklage was fantastic in the trial scene. Really enjoying it this year.

Yup. I can't get it here, so my wife sets her iPad in front of the TV and I watch it via skype.

Cool! Glad you like it.

He deserves any awards he might win for his acting on this show.

Slingbox? Haven't heard of that. There's supposed to be a channel here that carries it, and when I get out of this hotel and into an apartment, I'll look into it. A lot of stuff here seems to be blocked. Netflix doesn't work, I can't use HBO Go, I can't watch episodes of BBT on CBS.

I only watched the first season and I loved it, eventually I will start watching the rest of them. It has a all around great cast in it imo.

Slingbox works well. I have one up on Cape Cod, so I can watch all my Boston sports teams. Cheaper than getting all the sports packages.

Is Slingbox a download, or a set top box or what? If it's like Netflix, it may not work here.

Slingbox is a piece of hardware that hooks into your cable and internet at home and streams the show to another device real time. I stream either real time or DVR'd shows from my cable in cape cod to either my computer in NJ or my Ipad wherever I am. Gets me all the local Boston channels for no extra charge since I already pay for cable. Even used it to watch the Breaking Bad finale while sitting in a hotel room in Paris.

Last weekend we went to the Renaissance festival and there was this big sum-bitch dressed up like Drako, he was around 7' tall, I couldn't get a great pic but here is the one I took.

Resurrecting a very old thread.... my wife and I have been a casual fan of this show for awhile, but last night's episode took it to a new level. To bad this season is only 7 episodes long and the final season is not expected until early 2019.

God, I hate myself for watching this. First couple of seasons hook me in cause their was so much skin , now it's just dribble talk I can't understand . Hate stuff like this where they just make it up as you go along. Reminds me of when the first twin peaks came out and mrs gamecock and I got hooked, then it was shit and I we couldn't stop watching because we were so invested.

I'm pretty sure the show was adapted for television from books, so I don't think they're making it up as they go along.

Season 6 got me back into it. Can't get enough. Glad they're making spin offs once it's over.
