New Citizen Tsuyosa dial colors and small seconds models

Post by AtomicTom » Thu Feb 22, 2024 9:39 am

Not sure if you guys remember seeing Citizen’s Tsuyosa last year.

Now it looks like there are more dial choices, along with a new small seconds
automatic it looks like. With details like 40mm cases, integrated bracelets,
and leather straps, new dial colors, and textures. Along with calibre 8210,
and 8322 automatic movements, and much more.

Thank YOU guys for sharing your thoughts, and giving your opinions !!! :) ;)

It’s funny, I like the regular versions because of the colors, and everything,
and those bracelets do look nice. And then the small seconds with that neat
textured dial amazes. With a price tag that really isn’t too bad at the end
of the day. It’s often the other way around with watches, where the price
tag is high, and the watches often underwhelm.

I am honestly just happy everyone enjoyed.

So, I spent some time looking into this, Tom.

A lot of favorable reviews, but several note the difficulty with the recessed crown.

I think an Eco-Drive version with a better crown design might tip the scales for me.

Funny, the recessed crown was a pro to me when I noticed it!

I don't mind that it's recessed, just that it would be an issue for my stubby fingers.

Recessed crowns can be hit or miss right Matt?! ;) The idea is cool because
it makes the watch more comfortable to wear, and helps the watch maybe
look sleeker. But then they can be annoying to get your fingers around and
move at the same time. ..I totally read you sir. And it would also be terrific
if they had Eco-Drive versions, you are right. :)

Here is hoping maybe Citizen hears what people are saying, and releases
different variations down the road Matt.

Can’t thank you enough for your great insight, as well as for keeping the
conversation going !!!

I like that the integrated bracelet is attached with a spring bar instead of a friction-fit pin.

Matt, by the way, I was thinking about the recessed crown thing and us having
issues getting our fingers around them. ;) Maybe companies could design a cool
new kind of thing where there is a button hidden somewhere on the watch that
could be pressed to automatically twist or release the crown from it’s recessed
position. :) And John, I am with you, that champagne is something to behold. ;)
It’s beautiful, and you can imagine that it has a few different hues in different
light too. It’s really easy on the eyes that’s for sure.

Thanks so much for giving your two cents everyone !!!

The trick to making youtube work here is that you have to get the full video url from the desktop site and only paste the string that comes after the v= and wrap that in the youtube tag

In this case I just took Mrin68BbI3I from your url above and then highlighted the text and clicked the youtube embed button. That will put the

Code: Select all

tags before and after.

The camo green one looks really nice. Its an LE for the Europe market. No loupe on the date window is nice.

That camo green is cool Joe, I have to agree.

It’s great all by itself, but then to see it in a more dressy type of watch
is really different and refreshing. And it isn’t something we are going
to see out there on other watches.

Honestly is terrific AND it doesn’t have the loupe like you are saying. ;)

I’m really happy that you like them Joe. ..Thanks so very much for
joining in and giving your two cents sir !!!

The watch arrived today, but unfortunately, is going back.

I love the dial and bracelet, case are fine.

Image

However, this crown doesn't work well for me.

I need a fingernail to pull the crown out from the case and there's not much available to access.

The crown is all the way out in pictures below.

Image

Image

I can't access the crown from the front; need to roll it with one finger from back.

I guess people without stubby fingers might not take issue with this.

However, there are many other watches for me to choose instead.
