Thanks!

Date, GMT (which can support multiple time zones W/rotating inner bezel) mission timer outer bezel and the lume - including the bezel - is nuclear.

The lume on my Ares’ is by far the brightest and best looking in my collection.

Wel,l while I was working a deal with Todd for his Ares GMT, which I’m now wearing (thanks again T!!) my son decided to go out and pick this one up

It’s exactly what he wanted, although the lume is subpar.

I didn’t have the heart to tell him about the Ares - which was intended to be a Christmas present. So now I get to sport that bad boy lol

:headbang:
Nice...aaaand my Patriot is landing back to me today was well. So thanks to other Todd from me as well :fro:

New Seiko SSK00x with an aftermarket bezel insert?
The bezels are not one to one replacements - size is different slightly. We are all waiting on bezels, but you right now would have to switch out the entire case to an aftermarket case.
One of the first available aftermarket bezels for the SSK I've seen and it's a countdown timer ceramic:

I see he settled on one, but if he gets into collecting here are 2 more. Neither is cheap and both are pretty large. The previously mentioned Sinn 857 UTC (which obviously can be had with a count down bezel) and the Muhle Glaschutte Seebataillon.

Sangin instruments makes some great GMT watches for future reference that’d meet your sons requirements. What platform does he fly?
