Hi all. I have a 1988 Breitling Navitimer Jupiter 2300 ani/digi that needs a battery replacement. I'm pretty sure that the module is fine, and it just requires a new battery. Problem is, I can't find anyone who can remove the case back. I was going to send it to Jack, but unfortunately, he is currently dealing with some family issues. I contacted Breitling USA who said that they could look at it, but I'd prefer not to send a vintage watch to them. My question is - does anyone know of a watchmaker who may specialize in or repair these type of watches? Maybe someone who's repaired similar Chronosports, etc. Thanks for any help.

I can tell you from my limited experience working with the Emergency's is I recommended the dealer. The only reason why is when replacing the battery or a few of them the module ended up being this issue. Now the customer is paying two separate repair bills and spending a lot of time sitting on their hands waiting on it.

I don't know anyone that will touch those because the movements are so finicky.

Steve, if you’re up for it… Wrap a tennis ball with duct tape backwards, so you create a large sticky ball. Put the watch face down on a towel and placing the duct tape ball on the back …twist. I’ve used that method to open up several odd case backs.
