They wanna use blockchain to track the watch from production to the end-user.

There's also AI being used to track the condition of the watch over time and prevent fakes? Not sure what the angle was for that since movement swaps can be done.

They are thinking that people will upload service intervals to the blockchain.

I got the feeling that they are trying to add these things to give more perceived value to the end user. It all comes down wether people will willingly upload service intervals and if/when a watch changes ownership.

Now add to the tax implications of having these transactions follow the watch digitally... (which they of course didn't talk about).

I’d rather not have a permanent history following every watch I’ve bought and sold. The watch is mine and that’s all I really want to know about it.
