Bremont's S500 RFU L.E. and Supermarine 302

Post by AtomicTom » Mon Apr 12, 2021 9:45 am

Had seen these new Bremont watches a while back, but I don't
know if we ever talked about them guys.

The new S500 RFU L.E. commemorates 150 years of the
Rugby Football Union. With details like a 43mm stainless
steel case, 500m WR, sapphire crystal, diver’s bezel, nice
dial with SLN coated hands, and markers, Chronometer
rated GMT that’s protected by Bremont’s patented anti-shock
mount. On top of that, you have a neat case-back, along
with stainless steel bracelet.

Then the Supermarine 302 has details like 40mm stainless
steel case, 300m WR, sapphire crystal, nice diver’s bezel, a
matte black dial with eye-catching hands, and markers that
are covered with SLN. An orange, and black GMT hand, as
well as fabric strap, or stainless steel bracelet also. With the
BE-93-2AV automatic there behind it all.

I have always been interested in a smaller Bremont diver... so this is really nice to see. Definitely tough to justify $4,500 for a non in house movement watch though given what you can get from Tudor or Omega at around that price...

The Supermarine one looks really nice but the Rugby one, are they just running out of ideas I wonder. What will it be next, a Sherlock Holmes special with little Deer stalker hat and magnifying glass shapes on the chapter ring?

Think you are so right Nick. It seems like a home run until you see the
prices right?! .. :o It's unfortunately like that with so many watches too
when you think about. Honestly happens almost every time I, or we
like a watch. :)

Mark, yes, that is cool that they went with those hands. They rock ! :headbang:

Oh, and Andy, will be looking forward to that Sherlock Holmes with Deer
stalker hat limited edition, and that neat magnifying glass chapter ring !
Hey, you never know though right?! Companies are always trying to one
up other brands, so that really WOULD be different.

Can't thank you guys enough for chiming on on these !!! And also making
us laugh.
