I know it’s nothing like it, but I think this gives off a Chronosport vibe.

This is hot, and probably relatively affordable.

A non-gilt, black dial BB58 woulda been nice.

I realize this isn’t on topic, but does anyone know the general availability of the blue and black BB58s? Is this something that I could typically call around and find locally or is it the same basic deal as Rolex now?

I was on the list in 2 local ADs, Ed's AD, and Ben Bridge.
I was looking for some other watch when I walked in to one near Arcadia (Asian Beverly Hills in So Cal).
They had two to my surprise. Both on soft touch leather. I had to get it. The other one sold too.
They don't know if they'll get more but I can put you in touch with them, if you wish.
They had a black one too (on leather).

Prices for used on Watchrecon versus Tudor’s published MSRP ($3700 on bracelet) suggest they’re still hard to get.

You are unlikely to find them in stock, but I believe they can be had from an AD with a short wait. Maybe 2-4 months last I heard. Good news is if you don’t like, you can sell for full value to someone who doesn’t want to wait.

Yeah me too. I saw a pic somewhere and I had the feeling it looks even better in the real life. Like the OG BB without the gilt.

Tiny watch is for NATOs anyway. BB58 has always been perfect NATO watch on my wrist.

I just don’t see the point of sterling silver in a dive watch case. It’s an effort to be different for the sake of being different, like when Terry wears a dress but fails to wax.

At least it’s not priced astronomically.

And hairy, Terry legs in an airy summer skirt sounds like the good kind of different.

Dammit guys. I can’t see this watch without picturing Terry in an airy summer skirt bent over holding his unshaved ankles.

A sterling silver Ranger will look right. It had the adventure theme of an old sterling silver pocket watch.

Would be the only way I’d likely ever be able to afford a PM watch

As if you didn’t already walk around with that mental image.

Not judging.
