I love these. The original Doxa Army is a cool watch. Wish I had $1K lying around.

It looks really nice, but if Doxa is coming out with one that has a recessed crown, I may bite that one.
It's a beautiful world! Gerald.

I liked the write-up by Jason, especially this :

"... its not military. But to me, it feels like a fun and nostalgic watch that stands apart from the crowd and is rugged enough to wear for pretty much any adventure. It also doesn’t look like anything else out there. Just try to find another current watch with those hands or dial configuration."

I guess he wrote that before Doxa announced their version ;)

Maybe not. The promotional pic from Doxa had different hands.

According to recent IG posts by Doxa, their release will have the same (or similar) hands as the Synchron watch.

Apparently, there were different handsets used in the production of the Doxa Army, and some were made with the more common Doxa Sub hands as shown in the first post in that WUS thread.

I think the Synchron version looks way better because of the stubby hour hand.
The Doxa version just looks like a dial change Doxa.

I gotta believe Doxa could slap their version together relatively quickly since it seems most of the parts they would use are already in existence on current models. However it's been radio silence from them at WUS with any definitive info/timing.
