Impulse buy from Topper - Seiko SNR033
Re: Impulse buy from Topper - Seiko SNR033
That’s a cool piece. And I’ve always kinda liked when Seiko makes a GS-level watch a regular Seiko. Basically closet baller status.

Looks great, Matt; congrats.
Re: Impulse buy from Topper - Seiko SNR033
That dial is exquisite.
Re: Impulse buy from Topper - Seiko SNR033
It definitely deserves a lot more attention that’s for sure Matt !
Just the GMT factor, along with it being titanium should grabs ahold
of you, and gets your attention. With so many people always
looking for a nice GMT. Then the whole Spring Drive thing kicks
things up multiple notches, and makes the watch that much more
outstanding.
Between the specs, and just sheer design, it’s too good really.
It’s beyond cool, and a timeless looking modern day GMT !
And hope it gets a ton of wrist time sir. A COLOSSAL congrats !!!

I like it. Congrats Matt.

Seems like you've done a good amount of business with Topper's over the years. I wonder if I'd get a better deal if I tell Rob that Matt Wu sent me?

“The Seiko Prospex LX GMT is a big watch, with a diameter of 44.8mm and a thickness of 14.7mm. Here’s where my main concern can be found. Not so much by the dimensions of the watch, as it wears pretty nice on my 18/19cm wrist, but because of the weight. Or better said, the lack of weight. The Seiko Prospex LX SNR033 is very light-weight, and it somehow feels a bit unnatural as you would expect a significant weight. It could also just be an issue that I have with titanium, perhaps many buyers – especially professional users – prefer a light-weight watch on their wrist.”

Congrats Matt- love the dial..
Re: Impulse buy from Topper - Seiko SNR033
I think I would have liked a dive bezel as well, especially on this - an obviously sporty watch.
Re: Impulse buy from Topper - Seiko SNR033
Yeah, it is fairly thick, but given the diameter, it's proportional. 14.7mm isn't bad these days, and especially not in titanium (as the Fratello article says).HapaHapa wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 12:25 pmhttps://www.fratellowatches.com/seiko-p ... -gmt/#grefErratic101 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 1:34 amLooks thick! Re: Impulse buy from Topper - Seiko SNR033
Yeah, it's nuts. I don't know why Seiko hasn't put more innovation/finishing into their bracelets and clasps, but hopefully the clasp on this one is an indication of a change.
I didn't check out the SBGJ237, as I've had a few version of the SBGE001 over the years, and it's essentially the same watch. I really like it, but I like the style (and material) of this SNR033 better.

Waiting on the “Wu sale” to be up in a few months.
Re: Impulse buy from Topper - Seiko SNR033
i think i would have liked a 6 and 18 on the gmt bezel? i mean i get the hashes to denote the light>dark/am>pm shift, but isn't the color shift demarcation enough?
otherwise,
maybe those numbers are unlucky in japanese?

Those hash mark areas on the GMT dial are meal times. It emphasizes “Enjoy your meal and don’t bother with the time”.jtbenson wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 2:04 pmi think i would have liked a 6 and 18 on the gmt bezel? i mean i get the hashes to denote the light>dark/am>pm shift, but isn't the color shift demarcation enough?

Congrats, Matt! HUGE fan of the LX line. I had an 043 (exquisite dial). Looking forward to checking out the 029.
